Introduction to the Competition details & Rules.

Most other "Casting Competitions" are either straight forward Distance affairs which are hardly a test of skill.. or simple in-line, hoop-to-hoop accuracy events. Neither are over interesting to watch nor do they require much skill. The UK Casting Competition is different. It is a relatively simple, yet challenging "obstacle" course, which requires candidates to cast at 6 targets around the course. This requires at least some aptitude and basic skill in just a few simple casts which a proficient fly fisherman would expect to use in actual fishing situations.
