The weather held out for the weekend as a busy Spring Flyfishing show got underway with an exciting programme of events. Headlining the casting pool was Charles Jardine as he slipped into his waders and gave a thrilling demonstration teaching a large audience how to make casts into difficult areas. Hans van Klinken, inventor of the Klinkhamer showed in a packed theatre how to tie his famous flies. The audience on Sunday where amazed when Hans gave away his flies at the end of his demonstration.

Many people watched Dean Andrews from the hit BBC series life on Mars and Ashes to Ashes and John Tyzak talk about flyfishing techniques on rivers. Iain Barr enthralled his audience talking about his route to becoming the current world flyfishing champion. And England's Philip White gave an amazing trilogy starting in the Lecture theatre, then the Flytying theatre and finally a casting demonstration on the indoor casting lake about all aspects of imitative flyfishing.

The weekend saw packed isles as traders sold all the latest flyfishing tackle and visitors tested out the latest fly rods, lines and reels on the indoor try-before-you-buy casting lake. Everyone left with many purchases and smiles on there faces. The Spring Show staff would like to thank Total Flyfisher and Varivas for sponsoring the show again, and thank you to all the shows demonstrators and a big thank you to all the visitors who travelled to the show. We look forward to seeing you again at the 6th show in 2011.
