In the last couple years the GII has proven itself to be an excellent saltwater fly reel as well as a heavy-duty freshwater reel at a very affordable price. Anglers chasing everything from Steelhead and Stripers to Albies and Bonito will need nothing more than the CRGII to get the job done! You will love the CRGII... The CRGII is machine cut from aerospace grade 6061-T6 Bar stock Aluminum. The drag surface is Teflon impregnated cork disk that operates off of two stainless steel ball bearings while utilizing a one-way stainless clutch bearing to engage the drag. The oversized clutch bearing is the same that is used on most top end spinning reels today resulting in virtually zero back play before drag engagement (Otherwise know as “Super Stopper”). The CRGII requires no tools to convert from left to right hand retrieve. The quick-change spool also requires no tools and features a captive release nut to prevent losing it in the water. All construction of the CRGII series is done with machined aluminum or stainless steel. The handle on all CRGII reels is made from machined Delrin.
