 I am a flytyer and travel the world giving lectures and demonstrations about my style of flytying. I started tying realistic fishing flies after being dissapointed with bought shop flies I started developing my own patterns and materials. And, to cut a long story short, ended up with a whole range of materials which are available from Virtual Nymph . Then I started writing loads of articles for magazines in various countries, then ended up travelling to them to give talks and lectures. Not a bad life I suppose... Oh, and nearly forgot. I've written 2 books on flyting titled; Listen to the River, Volumes 1 & 2, and, and i am compiling 5 volumes on flytyers called, Flytyers of the World . Volumes 1 & 2 are now shipping and am now working on volume 3 .
 Please write about your favoute fly fishing pattern. My favourite pattern is either, the Ammonite Nymph or the CAM Emerger. Coth of these are fantastic searching patterns and flyfishers from all over the world use them. The Ammonite Nymph (revised for vol 2. On right) is available for download from the Virtual Nymph shop . What other patterns and styles of flyfishing do you enjoy most. My favourite style must be down-stream dry fly fishing. It's far more accurate than the traditional up-stream style. Is there a style of flytying you enjoy more than others! To wind down after a long day I find that tying a realistic stonefly is extremy therapeutic. What is your most rememberable flyfishing moment. Lots actually. To many to write about here. They are flyfishing with my friends here in the UK and in New York. There all a fantasic bunch of guys to fish with and down a few beers with in various bars around the planet.  What is your most favoured peice of flyfishing equipment. 10ft 4wt Hardy Marksman and Lawrance Waldron anti-reverse reel. Oh, and my landing net which has been broken so many times the epoxy holding it together probably weighs more than the net. What is your most favoured peice of flytying equipment. LAW Vice.
