Having grown up pretty much always with a fishing rod in my hand I soon got into fly fishing and have never looked back. As a youngster I fished competatively for England and was part of the Rutland water King fishers. I spent several years working for Orvis and last year made the switch to work for Sportfish at their Reading branch and have never looked back! I regularly write and do features for Trout fisherman magazine which I have done since I was about 21. I do my best to travel abroad as often as possible to sample as many different types of fishing as I can and have been lucky enough to have fished in Belize, Mexico, Bosnia and several other countries; but my list of countries visited is far smaller than the list of 'to-do's' something Im working very hard on to rectify!

Please write about your favoute fly fishing pattern.
Being an avid tropical saltwater fly fisherman creating a fly to catch Permit that works was a great moment for me! The Creole crab has accounted for close to 20 permit now for my self and friends in only a few visits and has got the attention of many more fish around the world! Long may it continue!

What other patterns and styles of flyfishing do you enjoy most.
Having grown up and cut my teeth on rivers it is a type of fishing that will always be very close to my heart. Fooling clever wild fish on the rivers of Lincolnshire, Yorkshire and Derbyshire or any where for that matter will always keep me coming back for more.

Is there a style of flytying you enjoy more than others!
I love creating new patterns and catching fish on them, it doesn't matter wether its to fool a bonefish or a grayling it's always satisfying

What is your most memorable flyfishing moment.

Captaining and being part of the England youth team that won the world championships in 99 will stay with me for a long time, it will be a hard one to top.

What is your most favoured peice of flyfishing equipment.
I Dont think I have a favorite single thing but I love my Nautilus NV reels I recently got for salting they are pure class!

What is your most favoured peice of flytying equipment.
Think it would have to be my HMH vice I got as a present for my 18th birthday, Ive tied thousands of flies on it so far, im sure there are several thousand more yet to come from it!

What type of flyfishing rod and reel do you use.
I've got a huge amount of fishing tackle but there is always more that you want! I use everything from Sage to Orvis, Nautilus to Guideline.

What type of flytying will you be tying at the show and are there any specific tying techniques you will be demonstrating at the show.
I will be looking at Tropical saltwater patterns for targetting Bonefish, Tarpon and Permit.
