I was born in 1960, and I live in Belgium. I've been flyfishing for about 20 years. My favourite fish is grayling, and i fish for them in Belgium, Germany, Slovenia, and Sweden. I've been flytying for about 19 years, I'd like to tie realistic, or even super-realistic flies for fishing. Almost all my dry flies are CDC. I did some flyfishing shows in Belgium, Holland,and Germany. This year will be my third time at The Spring Flyfishing Show. Last year I became a casting instructor for the Fly Fishing Federation (FFF).
Please write about your favoute fly fishing pattern. 90% off my fishing days I'll be nimphing. So an Ammonite nymph and a cassed caddis. I designed a realistic cassed caddis that works great for me. What other patterns and styles of flyfishing do you enjoy most. Cdc flies and streamer for asp. Is there a style of flytying you enjoy more than others! I'd like to work with cdc and some streamers. What is your most memorable flyfishing moment. Two years ago in Sweden we fished for grayling on the Vakkakoski river and caught a lot of grayling. A wonderful quiet and peacefull place. What is your most favoured peice of flyfishing equipment. My sunglasses, for protect agains flailing hooks and to see the fish better. What is your most favoured peice of flytying equipment. Law vice. What type of flyfishing rod and reel do you use. A9 foot #5 CPS build by a friend, Patrick Steenhout (P&S Flyfishing) With a Vossler reel. What type of flytying will you be tying at the show and are there any specific tying techniques you will be demonstrating at the show.
