Since I was about 5 years old I've had the fishing bug. A few years on and it seemed more focused on fly fishing and fly tying. It became more of an infection than a bug though my wife has still to find the cure. Joking apart though fly tying, fly fishing and all the surrounding paraphernalia gives me the unique opportunity to meet people all around the world. I am a sales manager for a packaging equipment company and traveling is my life. Whenever possible i like to study fly tying history, write articles for magazines and demonstrate at tying shows... Please write about your favoute fly fishing pattern. For my trout and grayling fishing I like simple patterns giving preference to natural materials but experimenting also with some synthetics. What other patterns and styles of flyfishing do you enjoy most. I particularly love fishing on chalk streams with down and across presentation. Long leaders and tiny flies. Is there a style of flytying you enjoy more than others! Tying salmon flies and other classic patterns is my real love, their study and the research of materials and rare books. It's my link to times gone by. What is your most memoraberable flyfishing moment. Every moment spent with friends in the water or with a glass of wine in hand. What is your most favoured peice of flyfishing equipment. My micro-nymphs and micro-dries fly boxes. What is your most favoured peice of flytying equipment. My scissors. What type of flyfishing rod and reel do you use. I really love rods with progressive actions, not too fast, like some of the Scott rods and of course bamboo rods. I like old style reels. What type of flytying will you be tying at the show and are there any specific tying techniques you will be demonstrating at the show.
